About Me
I am the the founder of ElevateyourIB, a boutique tutoring practice specializing in Theory of Knowledge, English A Literature and Language and Literature, and Extended Essay supervision.
Born in Istanbul I graduated from Üsküdar American Academy followed by a degree in Translation and Simultaneous Interpretation at Bogazici University. I believe I bring a genuinely multilingual and cross-cultural perspective to education.
While pursuing my MBA in Marketing at Fordham University in New York I worked at the Turkish Consulate in New York, I then returned home to pursue my lifelong passion for learning by becoming an educator myself. I began my teaching career as an ESL instructor, but discovered my true calling when introduced to the International Baccalaureate curriculum in 2010. For over sixteen years, I have taught in private schools across Turkey, specializing in TOK, English A and Extended Essay supervision.
What sets me apart is my philosophy: I am not a traditional tutor, but a progress coach. Rather than weekly one-off sessions, I conduct thorough gap analyses with each student, co-create a personalized learning plan, and provide continuous support throughout the demanding two-year IB journey. My approach is holistic and inquiry-based. I believe my role is to guide students toward their own discoveries, asking the right questions so they develop into lifelong learners themselves. I specialize in working with students who are struggling within the rigorous IB programme those who need sustained, strategic support rather than quick fixes.
Currently based in Bodrum, Turkey, and actively working in a private IB School I am building my new professional practice, elevateyourIB through authentic engagement with the IB community via social media, sharing insider knowledge from my active classroom experience. I founded ElevateyourIB with one goal in mind. To transform my IB journey into a brand where struggling students navigating the IB programme can access a high level mentorship and progress coaching platform.

How I Work?
- Free initial 20 minute consultation (student + parent if desired) where we have a diagnostic discussion on strengths, gaps and goals
- I prepare a tailored lesson plan depending on the student's needs and goals.
- Each class is 50 minutes and is conducted online via Zoom.
- I will be available on Whatsapp for emergency needs.
- There will be ongoing feedback and constant communication with the student for progress tracking.
